    Edit request: NBC-sourced additions and images

    [edit]

    I am the editor-in-chief of Boston Korea (disclosed COI; the article was created through AfC). Requesting the following changes. Items 1 and 2 are supported by the NBC News feature already cited in the article (ref name "nbc"). The images in items 3 to 5 are on Commons: the logo is {{PD-textlogo}}, and the two photographs are my own work released under CC BY-SA 4.0.

    1. In the lead, after "...as the region's largest Korean-language newspaper", add: ", and by NBC News as the city's last remaining Korean-language newspaper."

    2. At the end of the first History paragraph, add: "In 2007 the paper merged with Boston Korean, an online classifieds and community forum popular with Korean international students in the area; the following year it moved into a larger office and hired its first full-time reporter."

    3. Add the logo to the infobox: | logo = Boston Korea logo.jpg

    4. In the Coverage section, add the office photo:

    The newspaper's offices on Harvard Avenue in Allston

    5. In the Coverage section, add the distribution photo:

    Copies of the paper on a distribution rack at H Mart in Burlington

    Thank you. Chang at Boston Korea (talk) 21:29, 26 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

    Adding one more item to this request, with independent sources:
    6. Add a new section before "See also":
    == Awards and recognition ==
    In 2021, founder and editor-in-chief Myongsool Chang received a Presidential Commendation from the South Korean government for services to the overseas Korean community, announced on the 15th World Korean Day.[1] In 2024, Boston Korea was among the local news organizations selected in the first national open call of Press Forward, a philanthropic initiative supporting local news, chosen for its work closing coverage gaps for underserved communities.[2][3]
