The owl calls the watches

in the towers of Afrasiab.

On the Mehmed II page

These lines are presented as The spider is curtain-bearer/ in the palace of Chosroes,

The owl sounds the relief/ in the castle of Afrasiyab.

Where they are attributed to Saadi.

I think a reference to Saadi on the Boukoleon page would be in order Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 14:24, 24 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
