No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria. Pronunciation

Is there a source stating that the pronunciation is /ˈboʊnɪs ɒn ˈwɪndərmɪər/? I've never heard anyone say Bowness this way. /ˈboʊnɪs/ should really be /ˈboʊnɛs/ so that the 'ness' in Bowness rhymes with dress/mess/less and not 'niss'. --▲RedScrees (talk) 23:28, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
