This article has major issues which clearly prevent it from passing the GA criteria. The biggest problems are:
- The article's lead comprises about 90% of the article.
- The article only has one other section, the "Honors" section.
- The article only has six sources. Technically, it has 10, but 5 of them are just different pages from the same source.
- The article is quite short and doesn't go into very much detail regarding this individual's life.
The wikiproject banners on the talk page both rate the article as Start-class, and I think that assessment is accurate. The article is on a good track but still needs a lot of work before it will get to GA. Therefore, I'm going to fail the article for GA status. Please feel free to contact me on my talk page with any questions you might have. Thanks. SnottyWong soliloquize 19:49, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
I will develop a separate lead. Regarding the comment about length, the "What Good Article criteria are not" essay states, "These criteria do not impose arbitrary size restrictions (in terms of kilobytes, characters or readable prose). Good articles can be as short or long as is appropriate to the topic: WP:SIZE is not a good article criterion." I believe that the article includes all publicly-available material from reliable sources. Racepacket (talk) 03:06, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
