Jamie North: Can anyone help me please, i am in desperate need of a copy of the plans of this building, hopefully showing me the building layout, and even more so the tunnels that run undernieth the building, and i dont mean the service ducts i mean the old tunnels 12-15ft underground. If anyone could point me in the right direction i will be eternally gratefull.
Do you mean the Old Asylum Building? Access is very limited, and the building is in a dangerous state, as many of the wooden floor components are rotting and liable to collapse when you walk on them. Its surrounded by a security fence, and all boarded up, although there is a way in round the south side. A through exploration is at http://www.simoncornwell.com/urbex/frames.htm ,select 'Explorations' and then '2005' .

Edits
editI have added more of a description of the village in the 'Modern Bracebridge Heath' section. I am a former resident of Bracebridge Heath and just wanted to include more detail. Hope no one minds Mspice2215 (talk) 21:22, 19 January 2009 (UTC)77.96.231.238 (talk) 18:51, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
'the mound'
editI have removed this reference and the one that replaced it saying that the water tower is known locally simply as 'the water tower'. It doesn't have that much relevancy. When I grew up in BBH in the 1970's I gave it that name while it was being built behind my house and it was adopted for a time so I thought it was still known as that. mspice2215 Contributions/77.96.231.238 (talk) 15:36, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Suggestion
editMore detail on the demographics (population) would be useful. --Greenmaven (talk) 22:33, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Proposed merge of St John the Evangelist's Church, Bracebridge Heath into Bracebridge Heath
editThe church has no claim to notability, but some content about it, perhaps the image too, should be included in the paragraph Bracebridge_Heath#Buildings which currently only says "there is St John's Church (Church of England) on Grantham Road". Not every church in the world is notable in Wikipedia's terms just because it exists and has a congregation.
This church would then become a redirect to the village article but could still be given categories and listed in the dab page at St John the Evangelist's Church (where I've just added it). PamD 09:02, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- Support merge. Doubt this church is notable; it's not a listed building. No need for a separate page — what there is about it can be presented within this article on the village. Rupples (talk) 14:52, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 16:22, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
