Bråkenborg
editIt seems bracken is rather unlikely in this part of the country, I've long wondered if the name derives from something similar to the Scandinavian bråken borg, to mean something like the battle fortified place/the trouble fortified place. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/br%C3%A5k#Swedish https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/borg#Swedish. Doomsday gives Brachenberg, which seems more German.Lacunae (talk) 19:39, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Fotherby parish church
editAdded a clarification tag as Fotherby still retains a parish church, which makes the assertion of it being demolished questionable.Lacunae (talk) 17:38, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
