Dropped Passes

Im editing the section about Troy Williamson leading the league in dropped balls, Terrell Owens, Dallas Cowboys, now holds that title.

Resemblance to McRaney and Flanders

The statement from the article that I would like to discuss: Childress is also known to bear a striking resemblance to Major Dad star Gerald McRaney and Ned Flanders from the animated sit-com The Simpsons.

I initially removed this statement (with a detailed note in the edit summary), but User:E tac replaced it with a reference. Since it is now clearly referenced, I certainly can't remove it without a discussion. The reference, an ESPN article from April 2006, states, "Childress looks a little bit like Gerald McRaney, the lead actor in the 1990s TV sitcom, "Major Dad," and he approaches his job as if he were a Marine sergeant, too." The article does not mention any resemblence to Ned Flanders from "The Simpsons", which brings the motive of Etac into question - you added the reference to McRaney, but why did you feel the need to add your opinion?

I realize that there is a reference now, but I still do not think that this addition is of any use to this article. This is an opinion, made by one writer, and it's not an opinion that is regarding his occupation, legacy, etc. We do not routinely describe people in biographies. We do not say, "So-and-so is six feet tall, blond hair, blue eyes, looks vaguely like David Caruso...", so why should we state this here? Criticism section

This section needs to be cleaned up. In an effort to make this section better. I would suggest finding and linking articles of criticism of Coach Childress. In the current state of the section now. It sounds too much of an unsourced point of view slant. Which doesn't comply to wikipedia's WP:NPOV policy. ELO MnLynx Fan30 (talk) 15:58, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Actually "Mike Shanahan" is singular, not plural. It should actually read "Mike Shanahan is also an alumnus".Geenfietsen (talk) 13:28, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

"Thank god for that"

In the table, under the Post Season - Result column, it says "Fired(thank god for that)." As humorous as it may be, it doesn't belong in an encyclopedic article. It's also not accurate; he was fired during the regular season, not after the postseason.
