Several IP-editors have added Ghislaine Maxwell to the list of Notable people, but it's not clear (as the given source even says) whether she was more or less a regular or just a visitor. Eissink (talk) 18:23, 2 July 2020 (UTC).Reply

Not done: According to the page's protection level you should be able to edit the page yourself. If you seem to be unable to, please reopen the request with further details. Rummskartoffel (talk) 18:41, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I see now I have used the wrong template here, Rummskartoffel, I wanted to request the page be protected... My fault. Eissink (talk) 18:45, 2 July 2020 (UTC).Reply
According to the FBI's statement, she bought the house in December 2019 and moved in sometime thereafter, and has no other connections to the town. Her capture there may be noteworthy enough to mention in the article, but "noteworthy resident" implies she has a greater connection to the town than she does. ~CS (talk) 02:06, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Maxwell may only have been a resident for a shortish span, but the Epstein case and the connection to him, make her a very hot topic now and months / years to come. The fact that this area is so obviously remote, size and cost of the real estate and the secretive payment method is also interesting. Whether she is found guilty, makes a plea bargain or goes into a witness protection program, known and reported circumstances around this woman's actions are surely enough to warrant these types of links in Wikipedia. I'd be prepared to wager that she is currently the best known notable from the list. If Wikipedia isn't / can't be kept up-to-date, then what's the point of of it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.162.29.66 (talk) 02:01, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, Ghislaine Maxwell has certainly put Bradford on the map. --Devokewater (talk) 08:10, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the word "criminal" she has not been tried yet etc. Regarding her nationality, I'd be reluctant to say shes British. Her dad "Capt Bob" Maxwell once stated on TV that all his family have many passports, specifically French, his wife was French. --Devokewater (talk) 16:03, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Devokewater (talk) Yes, her mother was French and Ghislaine Maxwell was born in France. Her father was British so she has UK citizenship via him and she is a naturalised American citizen. All of that is irrelevant for this short "notable residents" listing on this page though. You were right to remove the "accused criminal", as she hasn't been convicted of anything (yet) and therefore she isn't a criminal. It is also non-neutral and wikipedia is supposed to be neutral, especially about living people: WP:BLP. Someone has added it back in again unfortunately. Just "associate of Jeffery Epstein" is all that it needs to say in that regard. 86.56.17.90 (talk) 06:19, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I have removed the word criminal yet again. --Devokewater (talk) 07:53, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
The link to her dubious charity foundation: TerraMar Project, the association with Epstein, and link and closeness to her totally corrupt father Robert Maxwell is surely a good enough (character) reference. The fact that she has REPEATEDLY dodged court filings, by hiding, Wikipedia is also serving a public service having her as a notable person of Bradford - and so should remain even at the cost of edit reversions. Perhaps the person, or people wanting to add the word "criminal" could add a few more footnote links. The Wiki entry for the small settlement of Bradford is not going to be overwhelmed by such action.
