To Do list

edit

As we are going to be re-writing this article now that the article has passed successfully through XFD, I thought it might be an idea to create a to-do list that we can work to. Anyone can add to the list, and if you complete a task on the list, strike it through and mark as done. This is what I see we need to do initially.

  1. Put into a structure of (I would suggest) short introductory paragraph, Early Life (to include qualifications), Legal Practice, Clients, Personal life. This is a similar structure to Johnnie Cochran's article.
  2. Consider getting an admin to move the article (and page history) to Bradley Simon, or turning Bradley Simon into a redirect page. This depends on what we find out about naming conventions for articles.
  3. Remove peacock words (eg "Bradley D. Simon is a well known white collar criminal defense attorney...").
  4. Wikify the article (i.e. add links to other articles)
  5. This article is an orphan - that is, not many articles link to it. Add the link to this article in other relevant pages.

That's our hit list to start with... let's get cracking! StephenBuxton (talk) 11:53, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, TatjanaNewYorkNY here. We added an Early Life section and a short intro paragraph. We added updated citations, changed the verb tense where needed, and removed peacock words. Would it be alright to delete the maintenance template now? Thank you! TatjanaNewYorkNY (talk) 18:36, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest

edit

I just want to check if there is any Conflict of interest here. So far there has been one editor on this article (User:Lakpr) - does this user have any relationship (personal/professional) with the subject? It isn't an issue if there is, provided it is declared. WP:COI has the guidance on such matters. StephenBuxton (talk) 11:56, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

The last edit changed it to "Simon is currently representing the former...". We have to be careful about using words such as "current", as this will make the article out of date very quickly, should the situation change. I will change it to read "As of April 2008", but this will need expanding to include things like when he started representing Alan. For further information about "As of", you may wish to read this article.

Actually, some form of chronology would be helpful for oll the listed cases. Could you add that to the article, or put it here and I'll do the necessary changes?

Looking at the way you've modified my edits, I would assume that Simon took over the case in July 2007, and the case is still going on to date (April 2008). Is this correct? If not, could you please modify it so that the dates are correct? If the case isn't going on at the moment, then the phrase "As of mmmm yyyy" isn't valid.
As I mentioned earlier, the cases don't appear to be in any particular order - or if they are, then this is not clear in the body of the text. Do you have the dates for these cases? Are any of the other cases still current? StephenBuxton (talk) 10:27, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
We added dates to the cases. I hope that is sufficient. TatjanaNewYorkNY (talk) 17:27, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
