I am quickfailing this review as there are far too many unsourced sections eg: almost all of the "Background" section and many other paragraphs. There are several high-quality sources (eg: Keith Emerson's autobiography) that could be used, but aren't. So this article completely fails the "factually accurate and verifiable" part of the GA criteria and needs serious work to correct that. The article also looks too much like it's written from a fan's point of view. I've cleaned up the lead and some of the opening sections; have a look at Words to watch and Writing better articles for more advice. Ritchie333 ^{(talk) (cont)} 16:44, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
