edit(re: previous requested photo request) How about a picture of the signature water tower? --Our Bold Hero 18:07, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'll see if I can get a picture of the water tower when I'm there next weekend (for the Tour of Lakes bike tour), or the following weekend (for the Brainerd Dispatch Online Inline Half Marathon). The water tower is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, along with the Northern Pacific Railway Shops. Either would make a good picture, I think, and would also make good articles. --Elkman 05:01, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- Got it. Check it out. --Elkman 03:59, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Craig Arnold
editWhoever keeps posting Craig Arnold as a notable person, please stop. Being a prof at a small college is not notable, I say this even though I'm a Luther alum myself.Iulus Ascanius (talk) 18:20, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

"completely unreferenced. please do not replace without references"
edit...was what you wrote, John from Idegon.
I complied. Now you're changing your story, instead saying "This article is about the real Brainard, not a fictionalized version. Discuss on talk page"
And here I am. Instead of trying to comply to your criteria for inclusion, and perhaps asking you what that even means, how about I get directly to the point: how do I get you aboard the Fargo reference on the page?
This means I have come across other editors that aren't really interested in the edits appearing at all, but hiding this fact behind various pretexts. Not saying you are. But the way you change your reasons means I go directly to the part where I ask you to show your ability to make a constructive contribution. I give you a free hand in editing the addition. Just as long as we get a Fargo mention my work here is done.
Take a week. If I don't hear from you, I'll simply add back my previous work, trusting you won't revert me again. Thank you and good luck! CapnZapp (talk) 16:10, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
- Re-wrote it in an encyclopedic style, lost all the non-RS sources. Acceptable? John from Idegon (talk) 02:32, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

2016 reported to be the poorest town in Minnesota

History section information needs sources/citations
editCitations are needed throughout the history section. The only source cited is Upham's "Minnesota Geographic Names" and the information presented in the whole section would not be covered in the Upham's book.

Performing arts center
editThe recently built performing arts center, which is an addition to Brainerd High School, should be mentioned in the culture section in Brainerd. Some information about the performing arts center could be found in the following web link, which was a news story about the grand opening performance on May 26, 2021.Lakeland News - Grand Opening Held for Brainerd Public Schools’ Performing Arts Center 47.12.186.190 (talk) 06:01, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Paul Bunyan Land
editPaul Bunyan Land has been nominated for deletion here, and it probably should be deleted. Perhaps some of its content could be incorporated into the city article, if anyone is interested. Kablammo (talk) 10:24, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- To update: I am no longer of the the view that it probably should be deleted, based on the research by BBQboffin mentioned on the AfD page. Depending on the outcome of that discussion, the article may well survive as a stand-alone piece. Kablammo (talk) 13:47, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
