Branded Asset Management

The article highlights important issues with regard to branded asset management. Many books covering branding fail to cover issues pertaining to brand implementation, and the issue companies face once the brand has been rolled out into the marketplace. Brand asset management is an improtant concept that has only emerged within the last few years. it educates corporations that they must adopt a new way of thinking about their brand, a focus on managing and maintaining their branded assets for their entire life.

Improve the article

I have added {{Sociology-stub}} template to it, which will not require the aticle to have as many refrences as per WP:CORP, but you still need to follow WP:V so as to not have it be WP:OR Igor Berger (talk) 06:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

If you referencing a text book use these tags! Here is the text, and at the end of the text put this without the nowiki! <ref>Davis, S.M. (2000) "Brand Asset Managemement: driving profitable growth through your brand", Jossey-bass WILEY</ref> If you referencing specific page, write the page range in descrption. If you referencing a Website page use this.

Brand management and Branded Asset Management

Please take a look at Brand management and how Branded Asset Management article can work together with it. Should we link one to each other. Should BAM be referenced from BM from a subsection? Should we add see aslo in BAM to BM? Igor Berger (talk) 07:54, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

This article is clearly advertising for a specific company (i.e. the one that originally created the Wiki and had their Brand removed) and the remaining reference should be removed entirely.

It is clear that the company is trying to differentiate itself from the category that they compete in - Corporate Signage, by creating a new name for the category (So you don't have any 'competitors' - get it?) Marketing 101.

Therefore any Wiki-time dedicated to their attempt to create a niche category is only supporting their self-serving commercial needs,not the marketing or wider community.

The works/articles cited are actually misinterpreted and misrepresent (by quoting out of context) the cited authors works to their own gains, by some loose thread that defies basic logic.

Unfortunately, making up your own terms generally doesn't work, especially when you don't even understand that marketing aready has it's own language, no matter how much you want to believe otherwise.

You already have a field to play on - Corporate Signage - it is part of Brand Management. Trying to create your own category with a naming convention that crosses the territories of Brand Management and Brand Assset Management (both of which have defined industry meanings already) will only serve to confuse markets and marketers, not benefit them. (google 'Brand Asset Management' - it has nothing to do with signage!)
