Brass Tacks Press's Wikipedia page should not be deleted because Brass Tacks Press is one of the larger small presses in Los Angeles, having published more than 50 books by celebrated and undiscovered authors since 2002. Brass Tacks Press has also documented important moments in the city's cultural history, from the State Parks' takeover of Lower Topanga Canyon to the gentrification of downtown LA. The press and its publications have been lauded in dozens of media outlets, including the "LA Times" and "LA Weekly", and co-founder Richard McDowell was named "Downtown LA Poet Laureate" for 2009.
