The result of the move request was: page moved. Andrewa (talk) 17:26, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
Breaking My Heart (song) → Breaking My Heart (The Peppermints song) – Breaking My Heart was a redirect for another song, now a disambiguation page. All are songs, so unless this is the primary topic for "Breaking My Heart" it needs additional disambiguation. 86.130.209.39 (talk) 18:51, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Oppose as it has already been established that the correct title is the current one, as advised via naming conventions. Also one user has already been warned about page moving and was again advised that the correct title is the current version. Wes Mouse 18:55, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- Also the disambiguation of Breaking My Heart from its original redirect status appears to have been done without any debate or consensus to be altered from a redirect to disambiguated page. Wes Mouse 19:01, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- WP:BOLD applies, debate is not necessary to create a disambiguation page, and the earlier page move may have been done for the wrong reason but I can't see consensus that the current title is correct. If the OMC song is primary for "Breaking My Heart", it must also be if "(song)" is added, and if there's no primary topic at all there isn't one that can just be disambiguated by "(song)". Google search results suggest that the Michael Learns to Rock song is the most notable song with this title, but even that is not more likely than all others combined. 86.130.209.39 (talk) 19:36, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- It is naming policy that applies in this particular case. There are no other articles on Wikipedia that have the same song title, so to disambiguate the title further contravenes that guidance. In the event that other articles are created, then and only then would a further disambiguation of the article title be necessary. And it does come across that the prior disambiguation was only made in order to get this particular name change pushed forward. Sly underhanded tactics to employ, in my opinion. And even more strange that an IP suddenly has requested a page move, something which a registered user has been previously warned about page warring over not so long ago, Wes Mouse 19:41, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- Also according to WP:DAB
"Disambiguation in Wikipedia is the process of resolving the conflicts that arise when a single term is ambiguous—when it refers to more than one topic covered by Wikipedia. (A "topic covered by Wikipedia" is either the main subject of an article, or a minor subject covered by an article in addition to the article's main subject.")
And per WP:DABNAME, the disambiguated page of Breaking My Heart should actually be moved to Breaking My Heart (disambiguation), hence a discussion to firstly create and then request the move should have been taken - so WP:BOLD does not apply for that instance. Wes Mouse 19:48, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

- Support - per WP:SONGDAB, good dab page, needed rename. Other songs clearly exist. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:14, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support - per In ictu oculi. WP:SONGDAB says:
"Unless multiple albums (or songs) of the same name exist, they do not need to be disambiguated any further.")
In this case, songs indeed exist, even though they don't have articles, and people may legitimately search for them and be confused if we don't disambiguate properly. 82.236.1.237 (talk) 02:11, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- Comment - In that case I would suggest that Breaking My Heart be moved to Breaking My Heart (disambiguation), in order to pave way for the move of Breaking My Heart (song) → Breaking My Heart (The Peppermints song). And thus would make for a speedy move. Wes Mouse 12:10, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support per nom. It is patently clear that Breaking My Heart should be the disambiguation page and that, as a consequence, this should be at Breaking My Heart (The Peppermints song).--Richhoncho (talk) 18:08, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- Based on my comment above I've switched from oppose to full support. We're going to require an administrator to perform the technical manoeuvre, then this can be snowballed and speedily closed. Wes Mouse 19:50, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
