editI'm not sure who edited this article while I was still working on it, but I sure wish they'd stop. At least until I finished what i was doing...
- Hi there and welcome. I apologize if you found my edits disruptive, but I can assure you they were in good faith. As a new user writing their first article I would highly recommend that you take a look at Wikipedia:Your first article and WP:MOS. These will help you in being able to write a quality article that conforms to Wikipedia standards. Cheers. EricSerge (talk) 23:59, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
I wasn't disrupted. As you say, I'm a new user. As I know nothing about the sandbox, I was writing the article without it when something came up in my office... and I saved what would have otherwise been a very rough draft. My statement was one of irony and sarcasm, not of irritation. I was frustrated (I only stepped away for 40 minutes), but not angry. I felt silly.
I also realize that Wikipedia has issues with conflict of interest, but I cannot avoid writing this article. It's necessary. I interact with students in Brenham often, and I cannot come close to remembering how many times a student has asked why there are no wikis about the museum. There are few about Brenham, period. So... I will write this article. I will use the sandbox... and I will include our institutional history. No one else exists to write it.
Thank you for your commentary.
