Why once a town but now a village? The answer to this question on the page would be nice.

Now a town. Hard to see how town becomes a village JoshuaIsTheFalco (talk) 22:34, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

No idea. I wrote the greater part of the page but this statement seems to go back to the very beginning and I left it because I assumed someone knew what it meant. Probably time someone just axed it. I have no idea what the distinction between a town and a village actually is: in the not so distant past "town" could refer to almost any settlement. Reference

edit

The reference supporting the statement about Sian Reeves, has twice been removed, today. I restored it once, but per WP:BRD won't do so again without discussion. However, it's my understanding that references which are dynamic news sites should not be removed, even if the content if the linked page changes. 'Early English'

edit

Why the quotation marks. It's the Anglican church of St Mary and St Chad that dates from the Early English phase of Gothic architecture, not the two listed here. They are both Gothic Revival buildings from the Victorian period. If someone in the know doesn't clear this up, I'll research and document the churches in a few weeks.Sjwells53 (talk) 13:16, 14 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

'Brewood Chess Circle'

edit

Why was the mention of the chess club and the link to the chess club's website removed? The village does have its own chess club and the chess club has its own website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.165.217.73 (talk) 01:21, 5 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

St Mary and St Chad's Church

edit

As this article contains a lot of specific details and information about St Mary and St Chad's Church in particular (some of which may be considered irrelevant to Brewood as a whole), I propose that a new, separate article is created for St Mary and St Chad's Church. It would allow for the church's history and important features to be expanded upon in proper detail. I would be happy to help do this if other editors think that it would be a good idea. ~~~~ MagicRubberDuck (talk) 20:26, 30 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
