Saw him take catch on mid-wicket boundary v Yorks in, say, 1963, - game Fred Trueman was famously dropped for after alleged England dismeanour. Turned me on to cricket and forever grateful. Happily we spoke when I was on Western Morning News in the 70s. RIP, Brian.
