Merge proposal
editHi, I would like to nominate both this, and Bridge (exercise) to be merged into one article, based on the Bridge. Currently, this is two short stubs on a very similar concept, and information could easily be merged between the two articles, in an article simply titled Bridge (Position). - Oppose on the grounds that while the articles are short, the contexts are sufficiently that a merge would be confusing or awkward. The articles are well-linked, and so reader won't miss information they're looking for. Klbrain (talk) 06:56, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. While the topics of the two articles are related, they still deal with two fundamentally different things. One is a gymnastics or strength training exercise, while the other is a martial arts movement. Indeed, the exercise can build strength to perform the martial arts move, and probably vice versa, but they are still two fundamentally different things. For example, merging the Punch (combat) and Push-up articles would be ridiculous, and while these two articles are very light in content, it doesn't justify merging them, as talking about these two things as one would be extremely confusing. --VladVP (talk) 12:56, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
