Deletion
editDoes Brierdene really exist? Brierdene Burn and Brierdene Farm both exist and are recorded by Ordnance Survey but OS does not show any area called Brierdene. Google Maps have a label Brierdene at the Brierdene Burn. Local businesses use the name, vis Brierdene Car Wash and The Brier Dene Public House. I have lived in a number of places where there was a common name for a place. Everyone knew what you were talking about but the name didn't appear on any map. When I returned twenty years later the name had fallen out of use. The lack of citations suggests that this is just an unofficial local name - possibly invented by developers when they built the houses.
