External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Brigade of Guards. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20050210120940/http://regiments.org:80/regiments/uk/depot/948guard.htm to http://www.regiments.org/regiments/uk/depot/948guard.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Date Renamed
editI was watching the Movietone news newsreel titled "The Duke of Windsor: The Nation's Tribute - In Colour" on the official British Movietone news youtube channel and in the newsreel the narrator says "ST George's Chapel where the Duke's body lies in state guarded by four men from the Brigade of Guards".
The newsreal is dated 8 June 1972 but Whitaker's Almanack 1969 is cited in this article as saying the Brigade of Guards ceased to exist on 1 July 1968.
So my question is who is right is it Whitaker's Almanack 1969 with 1 July 1968, or British Movietone News with a date after 1972? Maurice Oly (talk) 01:49, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
