Famous person's father?

edit

There was a line under "Notable people" claiming that the father of a famous athlete lives or lived in Brighton. This needs to be proved with a reliable source that readers can check for themselves. This is especially important when writing about living people; that way, Wikipedia will not become a way to spread malicious rumors. Questions?
