The result was merge Camerton branch into Bristol and North Somerset Railway. -- David Bailey 12:00, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't think there is much point duplicating the diagram and information on the Camerton branch page, and so therefore suggest merging Camerton branch into this page. David Bailey 15:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agree, so long as there are references to and from the Somerset Coal Canal article, and cross checks to the village articles for Camerton, Paulton, Midford, Dunkerton etc. Johnlp 00:15, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm going to leave this proposal up for two weeks before actioning the merge. That should give everyone an opportunity to comment. David Bailey 12:19, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Another source for construction and opening

edit

I see this article is undergoing some improvement and I decided to work on an article for the Pensford Viaduct (currently in my sandbox). In the process I came across this article about the opening dated 6 September 1873, which may be of use.— Rod talk 20:31, 10 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Planned heritage railway

edit

@Geof Sheppard: Please see Bristol and North Somerset Railway#Future potential reopening. It is not yet a heritage railway, but it is considered as a future heritage railway and as such it is mentioned in the Template:Heritage railways in England under Planned railways. @Peter Horn: This edit won't notify Geof Sheppard (talk · contribs). It needs to be a new post, not a modification to an existing one. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:09, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Redrose64: In other words a new article and a revision of the template? Peter Horn User talk 14:12, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Peter Horn: I'm not talking about an article or even the template. I'm talking about your attempt to notify Geof Sheppard, which will have failed. I shall demonstrate: in this edit I am making exactly the same initial error (a missing brace) that you made in this post. It won't have notified you, as you knew. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:52, 7 December 2016 (UTC) Redrose64 (talk) 19:54, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Peter Horn: In this edit I amended my post in exactly the same way that you did in this edit, and my edit will not have notified you, for precisely the same reason that your edit will not have notified Geof Sheppard. However, this edit will have notified you, because it is entirely new. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:01, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
