Egging
editA lot of shows get disrupted by various forms of protest. This is one small incident and whilst it can be noted, it does not need to be sensationalised. I highly doubt an article will be created from it. Please stop self-linking the article. Difficultly north (talk) - Simply south alt. 10:37, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- The only reason I added the link is to make it easier for those changing the title to update the redirect; at one point it went from Egggate to 'Egggate' to "Egg-gate" (literally!) in a short space of time.--Launchballer 10:40, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Creating a redirect to the incident is fine. However this is a small incident and articles linking to themselves, even if indirectly, should be avoided, especially in their own sections. If you really want, a simple hatnote would solve the problem. See WP:OVERLINK and WP:self link. Difficultly north (talk) - Simply south alt. 10:51, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Either way, the redirect needs to stay updated. I've changed the header title, but I haven't readded the link.--Launchballer 10:58, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Totally agree with OP above. "Egg-gate" is childish, wholly sensationalist, tabloid style incident bloat. Barely warrants a mention much less a silly named section. Leaky Caldron 11:59, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- The term "egg-gate" was actually coined by The Metro newspaper, it's currently trending on Twitter.--Launchballer 12:58, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- The incident occupied about 10 seconds in a series broadcast for approx. 30 hours over 7 weeks and a final of 2.5 hours. See WP:WEIGHT. Leaky Caldron 13:25, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Would anybody be interested in creating a list of finalists, such as the ones we have for series 5 and 3 (the series 5 list format is better than series 3). People want to create articles and having a list would mean there's somewhere for the names to redirect to where there's actually some biographical information. –anemoneprojectors– 17:12, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
