Historical Justices of the Court
editJust wondering about adding a list, pending researching it, on the historical membership of the court; certainly starting with Begbie and Crease - whose name I came here looking for the right form of, actually; not sure how viable or relevant this is but it seems worth having; likewise on Supreme Court of British Columbia. Probably less workable on Provincial Court of British Columbia.Skookum1 21:44, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:UK Royal Coat of Arms.png
editImage:UK Royal Coat of Arms.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Judicial capital?
editSo if the highest court in BC sits in Vancouver, does that make Vancouver BC's judicial capital, while Victoria is BC's legislative and administrative capital? -- Denelson83 07:25, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, it would not be correct to call it a capital. The court sits and has registries at various locations including Victoria although most of its work and its "central registry" (not a legally recognized term I don't believe) are in Vancouver. (see [1]) --KenWalker | Talk 20:58, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Furthermore, although the Court of Appeal is the highest court in British Columbia, it is not the highest court for British Columbia. If you really wanted to identify a "judicial capital" of British Columbia, Ottawa would be a more apt choice than Vancouver. --Mathew5000 09:07, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
