editHi, I'm Chloe and I'd like to edit the British Journal of Sports Medicine page, I hope there aren't any objections to this.Chloe C S (talk) 07:36, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Chloe C S: There's no need to make an announcement, as anyone can edit any article. If you're doing major work, the {{under construction}} (over a few hours/days) or {{in use}} (short term) templates can be useful, added to the article itself.
- I'm glad to see you used edit summaries throughout - though I don't see that it was really necessary to change the image, as we don't update every journal article every year just to get a very recent image and the format hasn't changed particularly so it was still a typical layout (but then, as I was the one who took time to upload the earlier image, which is now redundant and will be deleted, I'm naturally inclined to feel that way about it!).
- You removed italics from Journal Citation Reports along with correctly removing them from "impact factors", and I've reverted that. The first sentence, the "lead", should get straight to the point of what the topic is, for the benefit of people reading a snippet in search results, so it's not appropriate to include the "when ranked by impact factor, the leading" wording: I've moved that a couple of sentences along. When I saw that, I wondered whether you had a Conflict of Interest - you were closely associated with the journal in some way - as it's the kind of edit I'd have expected the journal's editor, or PR person, or one of their friends, to want to make, but looking around at your edits I changed my mind and decided you were just someone who'd taken an interest in the article for some reason, the way that editors do. I can't remember how I came to edit this article, myself! Thanks for your work in updating it. Happy Editing. PamD 10:13, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
