Rename to just "British Library cyberattack"?

edit

If there were frequent, notable attacks on the library then having a qualifying date would make sense. But since this is the only notable hack, perhaps the page should be renamed to lose the year. Chumpih t 21:00, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

OK. It's customary to await some sort of wp:consensus, with a few pitching in with their opinions, or with some time passing. But then again, I'm not grumbling. Thanks. Chumpih t 22:04, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I was erring on the side of "bold" and it seemed sensible and non-controversial. Efficiency! jengod (talk) 22:19, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'll add my support to the renaming. Rupples (talk) 22:30, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I wanted to share with the people that are watching this page that the British Library posted an update on July 30, 2024. I don't know the best practices around updating a wiki article. Maybe someone watching this article might want to update it. I've been following this story because I've been waiting for them to restore access to the online manuscripts.

Thank you @Emilytaege! I updated best I could. Don't be shy about clicking that pencil icon and getting in there and revising. You'll crush it, I have no doubt. jengod (talk) 17:03, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
