Comparison to NCAA

edit

The comparsion to NCAA is good, however, it is not relevant to compare it success, as USA attitude towards Sport is far different to the English. Make sure this is clear. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Keyschoolsrev (talkcontribs) 16:37, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Expand

edit

I propose that we rapidly expand this section to include past tournaments, league pyramids just like the Premier League/Championship pages of the Football Association. I'm up for it if anyone else is. Infernix (talk) 15:53, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The job has to be started somewhere. Why not create a page for BUSF, and include sections for each sport? steveielts (talk) 20:34, 27 January 2010

Badminton

edit

There have been numerous edits during the course of 2018 by an IP address in the 2a02:c7d:6382:8700... series, adding a complaint that a particular discipline is not offered by BUCS within the Badminton competition. This has been reverted by various editors as unsourced, but on the most recent re-addition some sources were added, but it still looks like WP:OR, WP:SYNTH, WP:POV, and WP:UNDUE. For none of the other sports is there any discussion about what BUCS does not offer. Thoughts of other editors would be welcome. --David Biddulph (talk) 04:00, 19 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I think the section should be removed. DH85868993 (talk) 10:50, 19 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I have re-edited to remove the unsourced reference to training, and select more neutral vocabulary. Another user has added a list of sports that BUCS does not offer - e.g. Taekwondo in the section directly above badminton. I would move my paragraph into that section but it doesn't quite fit as badminton is partially offered as a sport. In the spirit of developing the information contained in an article, I do not think it unreasonable to highlight sports which are and are not offered by BUCS, nor the international standing of those sports. I find the current sporting links rather dull in that clicking on each sporting hyperlink leads to a generic article on a sport which does not provide information on the sport as provided by BUCS; I would see development of the whole article to provide more information about BUCS sport as a positive thing, but can't see how this would happen other than one sport at a time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:6382:8700:2472:19ED:E2D7:C4A9 (talk) 20:30, 20 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
