editI think we should seperate radio and tv.
We have a problem here. Do we merge with British sitcom or distinguish between genres? In the latter case, Monty Python is not a sitcom, and most of the other titles listed here are sitcoms, so should only be on the subgenre page. -- Tarquin
- I'm in favor of merging them because it might be difficult to keep them separate with non-duplicated content. It doesn't matter much to me though. --Mrwojo
It seems to me that British comedy could also apply to radio comedy, which could help add non-separate comedy. Atorpen 22:52 Feb 9, 2003 (UTC)
Good idea. Let's see.... comedy panel games, ISIHAC, Mornington Crescent, The Mary Whitehouse Experience and plenty of other tv shows that started on radio... -- Tarquin 23:01 Feb 9, 2003 (UTC) PS and HHGTTG of course
I should have read this first... Anyway, merging would be a good idea. 3 subgenres I can think of off the top of my head are,
- Sketch type shows, eg, Fast Show, French & Saunders, Python
- sitcoms
- Game shows, eg, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, They Think Its all over, Have I got news for you

Personal Essay!?
editAs per my "multiple issues" tag, most of this article doesn't meet Wikipedia's standards. The whole Radio & Television sections are entirely unreferenced and overall it reads like WP:OR. Looking back at edit history it seems the original writer started out in this way and as it's grown the article has continued in the same way 95.145.203.57 (talk) 11:50, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
