AfD nomination of Brooklands photo archive

edit

I have nominated Brooklands photo archive, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brooklands photo archive. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Split Circuit and Aerodrome

edit

I am a little confused about the main purpose of this article, is it talking about the general site of the Brooklands area? It would be clearer and make more sense to split the article into two separate articles, one for the circuit and one aerodrome, as there was limited overlap between the two activities and use of the aerodrome extended far beyond use of the circuit. Hello, I've had an email suggesting that two people should be added to the list of people associated with Brooklands: Sir John Alcock (pilot) and his navigator Sir Arthur Whitten Brown. Moreover, Alcock was trained to fly at Brooklands and became an instructor there until the beginning of WWI when he joined the RNAS initially as a flying instructor.

Hope that helps, Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 10:09, 8 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

For the nth time, I come to Wikipedia to ascertain the most fundamental possible fact about a topic, and it isn't there.

In the very 1st sentence, don't tell us what town Brooklands is near. Tell us what town it is in.

For the nth time, you force me to go elsewhere to find that out.
