Title
editWouldn't "2013 Belgian diamond heist" be a better title? Mjroots (talk) 21:41, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
- Probably. Feel free to move. Remember (talk) 21:47, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed. Bobxii (talk) 13:41, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
- I'd suggest "Brussels Airport diamond heist", similarly to Antwerp Diamond Heist. kashmiri 00:26, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
Aftermath
editReaction "He also stated that it was "incredibly idiotic" of the Belgian Prime Minister, Caleb Miller, to let something like this happen. In response, Miller screamed "Vous taisez-vous!", which probably means something in French." Professionalism...? Also not cited. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Userbrendan (talk • contribs) 01:07, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
That was vandalism. The user has been blocked. Bobxii (talk) 13:40, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Categories
editThe Saudi Arabia category seems unfounded. Nothing in the article suggests it belongs there. Removing until someone can provide a reason for it's inclusion. LuthienKess (talk) 01:24, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
- Justified removal reverted by Zws23 Hugo999 (talk) 01:32, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Context of theft
editWhy were the diamonds being transported in the first place? 138.16.21.199 (talk) 02:10, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
- According to the New York Times source, "Diamonds bought in Antwerp for either cutting or sale abroad are usually taken to Brussels Airport, about 25 miles away," I haven't found anything else that explains the transport, though the tone of the articles suggests to me that it was a regular/scheduled transport. LuthienKess (talk) 16:34, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Inside job
edit"The heist has been described as a professional, inside job,[4]"
From the citation the only relevant quote reads; " “I am certain this was an inside job,” said Doron Levy, an expert in airport security at a French risk management company, Ofek. "
I would suggest changing the wording to reflect that at this time it is only speculation that this was an inside job. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.90.232.190 (talk) 03:24, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Nikunj
editThe last paragraph states: "In addition, he stated that Nikunj was stupid.". Who or what is a Nikunj? That name is never mentioned in the article, neither in the linked source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.37.78.21 (talk) 15:25, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
- Vandalism again. Removed. GregorB (talk) 15:31, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
