Number of pumps in the New Braunfels location
editThe article said 120 pumps before I edited it, but the citations for it said 60, and 60 is what I found online, and a picture I found of the place online (http://i.imgur.com/ztq5mHi.jpg) looked more like 60 than 120, so I changed it to 60. That said, they might be counting in different ways -- each pump can probably service two cars simultaneously (one on each side) ... but 60 seems to be the usually given figure. dougmc (talk) 18:09, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
Scratch that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Vyg5gMkS4c -- Here's a citation for the 120 figure, of somebody videotaping the place while the extra 60 pumps are being added in late 2013. Not the usual format for a citation, but good enough for me. dougmc (talk) 20:22, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
Advertising-like copy
editI'd like to clean this page up to make it adhere to wiki guidelines - particularly regarding the advertising-like copy noted in the cleanup tags. I'm having a hard time finding any specific text that reads too much like an advertisement. What text could be adjusted? Does anyone have examples from the articles? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Calypsofan27 (talk • contribs) 20:35, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Article Expansion
editI have added more information and paragraphs dedicated to the product offerings of the store Buc-ee's. I didn't have the time to include information regarding the impact of the company, but plan to do so in the future. I will add additional pictures later. ThunderPheonix2021 (talk) 23:03, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Okay. As the editor who added the notice, thanks! Crusader1096 (message) 02:22, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
Seems like with every recent store there is a paragraph or line describing that - which doesn't make for great reading. - User: anonymous — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:CD:C100:2E:6600:6AFF:FE85:74B5 (talk) 19:29, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
Could someone please help add info from the following news article into the main page and help clean it up? I didn't want to insert another store opening into the already long list of store openings listed within the article, so if someone could edit it into the article without making a mess, that'd be appreciated.

Errors in article
editIn History section it says first Buc-ee's outside of Texas was in FL. In the first of the article it says first one was in 2018 in Baldwin County AL, which I believe is correct.
In History it says the first one built larger than New Braunfels was in Sevierville TN. Wrong. It was in Crossville TN. There was big promo on Nashville and Knoxville news. Then the Sevierville, which was larger was built. 2600:6C5D:47F:FDF7:BF09:58B9:8639:BE5D (talk) 14:38, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
Missouri should be moved from upcoming states to current states
editIn first paragraph, Missouri is listed as a site of future expansion, but that location is fully open. It is listed correctly below in Locations section. Scooter4356 (talk) 16:14, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

Checking for concision
editOver the course of the next few weeks, I will be making bold edits. A couple things I am looking at right now include: advertisement-like tone to the text, checking for relevancy, a few grammatical errors, and more. I will not be adding content, only editing what is already there and keeping the article focused and concise. I will be editing in my sandbox before going forward with my bold edits. I organize my sandbox in a bulleted list by quoting the article, identifying the edit that needs to be made, and a short explanation. Italianmagnolia (talk) 18:19, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
Where's the Beaver?
editI see very little in this article about the beaver mascot. It seems that the beaver is the iconic symbol of Buc-ee's and it would be notable to include a section about it. I will create a few sentences to start the section. Italianmagnolia (talk) 21:40, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- I removed them until they are cited to a reliable source. The mascot seems notable, so there should be sources available. Carlstak (talk) 00:59, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Italianmagnolia I added a photograph I took of the mascot at the Daytona Beach, Florida location FloridaMan21 (talk) 01:56, 8 August 2024 (UTC)

Obvious advertising
editThe intro to this article is locked for me to edit, so if anyone does have access then please fix this specific paragraph, which is located just after the "Quick Facts" tab near the top of the article:
"The chain is well known for the large size of its locations, alongside its product offerings of fuel, snacks (particularly beef jerky and candy), brisket, baked goods and commodities, tacos, fresh sandwiches, souvenirs, and travel items."
This is an excessive description which reads as an advertisement. I think this is wholly unnecessary and should quickly be deleted. JRBuch12 (talk) 02:13, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Agreed and Done. Thanks for calling attention to this unencyclopedic text with a promotional tone and probably added by someone with a COI. Carlstak (talk) 03:17, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

edit"Founder Arch "Beaver" Aplin opened his first store as partners in Clute, Texas in 1982." MissAnneThrope74 (talk) 15:58, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Fixed I've changed it to "In 1982, founder Arch "Beaver" Aplin was a partner in the opening of a store in Clute, Texas, the first to bear the name "Buc-ee's"." Thanks for pointing this out. Carlstak (talk) 18:16, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
