Merge with Dela Rosa station

To not merge; nearby but distinct stations best discussed separately to avoid confusion. Klbrain (talk) 03:00, 27 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

The current (closed) Dela Rosa station is very near this station, and PNR as well as the media seem to use the Buendia name alternatively (see [1] [2] and [3 (as Dela Rosa/Buendia)]). The planned NSCR station is also called Buendia despite being located in the Dela Rosa station's current location. Furthermore, the two articles are very short and Dela Rosa might as well be a section instead. 360kong (talk) 09:32, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

For archival purposes, it's better not to merge Buendia station to Dela Rosa station. Merging them would only worsen the apparent confusion between the older and newer stations. Ganmatthew (talkcontribs) 10:58, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
If PNR and WP:RS treats these as separate stations (alternative names notwithstanding), Wikipedia should follow suit. Are we merging the two Cubao stations as those are connected, though not as near each other as these PNR stations? Howard the Duck (talk) 11:26, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, and technically, the two stations aren't even directly connected. They are only indirectly connected through the walkways that connect different malls to them. For this reason, they are considered as separate stations that are in the same area. Ganmatthew (talkcontribs) 13:58, 13 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oppose on the same reason as Howard the Duck. On PNR records, these are two distinct stations, hence the different station names and station codes. HiwilmsTalk 12:57, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. As a foreigner, I travelled to Manila earlier this year. It was confusing to me that there were two stations named "Buendia" (this one and the functioning MRT station. If this page was redirected to Dela Rosa station, it would confuse people. Jonashtand (talk) 19:01, 14 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
