Copyvio

The biography was copied directly from [1] and had to be removed. Because of the now short length of the article, I added a stub tag to it. --Douglas Whitaker 03:14, 29 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Prison time

edit

In the 1930's, White shot and injured a man under uncertain circumstances and served three years in the Parchman Farm penitentiary (link). This should be mentioned in the article. -The Gnome 10:14, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Spelling of Bukka

edit

Removed the remark that "Bukka" was a "racist" misspelling of the name "Booker." It's a phonetic spelling of how the name would be pronounced in a strong Southern accent, and may represent a disconnect between what White said and what his record company heard, but unless a citation offers proof of the record company's racism the most we can say is that it is a phonetic spelling. I recall being told that Booker hated the fact that the record company had done this to him. He had a Southern accent, but he did know his own name, of course. 75.101.104.17 (talk) 02:45, 5 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
