Bun cha → Bún chả – Cannot revert move due to edited redirect 30 June 2012. Restore per (i) WP:MOS "consistent with related articles" in category:Vietnamese cuisine (ii) WP:UE (there is no English name for this dish). (iii) WP:IRS "the best such sources" "reliable for the statement being made" per Vietweek, English language print newspaper A bún chả that could wake the dead - Resurrecting a dead writer’s dream meal in Ho Chi Minh City. Note also that the best Vietnamese cookbooks do now use Vietnamese diacritics, same as cookbooks for category:French cuisine e.g. Amazon.com LOOK INSIDE The Little Saigon Cookbook or Amazon.com LOOK INSIDE Into the Vietnamese Kitchen though accents will often not show up on Google Books OCR. Support; more accurate spelling. It's unfortunate that redirects from diacritics so often get edited like that - didn't somebody get banned for gaming the system that way? bobrayner (talk) 09:13, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

• Oppose. On Google Books, I get 392 (151 deghosted) post-1980 English-language results for “bun cha“, 25 (14 deghosted) for “bún chả”. The top results for “bun cha” are travel and cooking books. The ones for “bún chả” include phrasebooks and Vietnamese-English dictionaries. The word is given without diacritics by VietnamNet Bridge, Thanh Nien, Tuoi Tre, New York Times, CNN, The Telegraph, and Lonely Planet. Kauffner (talk) 18:17, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

• Support per nom and WP:UE: "follow the conventions of the language appropriate to the subject". This term is not English and has not been nativised. As User:Karl.brown noted at a similar RM, "what we need to make this determination is a source that *does* use VN diacritics, but declines to use it for this word, because it has become anglicized. that doesn't seem to be the case here." —  AjaxSmack  23:38, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
