editI'm not sure this sentence belongs in this article: "In 2001, herpetologist Dr. Joe Slowinski was bitten by a juvenile krait (B. multicinctus) while doing field research in Myanmar. He was unable to reach medical assistance and subsequently died from the effects of the bite." Anyone have any input? -Athaler 00:43, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I found another website that details the death of Dr. Joe Slowinski through an email from a colleague who traveled with the doctor on his fateful journey. The URL is http://www.doctorbugs.com/Joseph_Slowinski.html. From the site, " This is to inform you -- although you may have already heard through U.S. Consulate reports to the California Academy of Sciences, based on radio reports relayed from our team while in the field -- of the tragic death of Joe Slowinski from the bite of a multi-banded krait (Bungarus multicintus) at the village of Rat Baw in a remote site in northern Myanmar (Burma)." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.83.114.32 (talk) 06:45, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
What's in a name?
editIf they are commonly known as kraits, why not have the title of the freaking page be "Krait"?--172.190.10.144 (talk) 02:12, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
