The Chinese pronunciation of 范 is closer to 'Fan' and the Japanese closer to 'Han'. (And in any case 'h' and 'f' are not strongly distinguished in Japanese). As to whether it should be Fan or Fuan (or Han or Huan), that is sort of a matter of accent -- Fuan makes the middle vowel longer -- Fan is rendered as ファン and Fuan as フアン. 109.57.232.179 (talk) 14:09, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
