In September 1935 Phil Kavanaugh, manager of H&G, turned over his spanish players to Spanish Sport Club(later Burke's). They proved to be hard to replace. The SSC, fortified with the new talent, proved to be unbeatable and it wasn't until the first half was nearly over that Burke's was finally scored on by none other than Kavanaugh's H&G team.
