4greed, Fixed. Personnally I think this is a poor reuse of the Eva characters. (Yes I know this trio was used before Eva.) MajinPalgen 14:26, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
The ova was released sorta, I mean it was at Anime Expo back in 2005, but it is not on DVD either in the US or Japan. Where was it learned it had 3 episodes? I cannot confirm this myself.
There is also no information here on the novels or the manga that are relased, these I believe make this even less eva like. Frankly I'd not compare the series. --Itanshi 16:25, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Update, I asked Funimation and there will be 3 episodes and possibly additional content--Itanshi 15:51, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Episode list
editI would like to add a link to List of Burst Angel episodes, what do people think? - Peregrinefisher 15:57, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
OVA
editAccording to http://www.baku-ten.net/ (official Bakuretsu Tenshi/Burst Angel site), the Japanese OVA boxset comes in March 2007. I'll add it to the release date, leaving the original date up for now. Shamanic Enzan 08:07, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Another Thing I realised: Well, unless the plot, characters, and info turn out to be completely different, I've aimed the page "Burst Angel Infinity" to redirect to "Burst Angel" and added a bit about Infinity to the opening paragraph. Shamanic Enzan 11:25, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds like you have it under control. This [LINK REMOVED] may help you. - Peregrinefisher 19:49, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll try and have the info from there put in a more readable format, but with the holidays and all, it'll probably get done around the 3rd of the year. I am actually packing this very computer to go on a cruise, got a wikiformat tutorial open because I have no clue whatsoever to what I'm doing, so please fix any format errors when I do start editing, it'll probably just be some wikicode editing, nothing to hard,I hope... Cya on the flip side of the year! Shamanic Enzan 22:32, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
So is the OVA a condensed version of the anime or something new? 65.197.19.242 19:48, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- I whached OVA "Infinity" few minutes ago in japanese language without knowng sigle word :) It is only 1 episode not 3!? And also no Amy and no Sei. Just Jo and Meg. They both look older. Meg's little friend Shierly was hospitalized after being attacked by a cyborg controlled by a maniac who lust on filming down of victims wounded or worse killed by his cyborg. And... I will not talk about ending ;) All in all it looks like one more episode almost totaly ending everything and leaving small room for more. --78.56.58.153 22:52, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- pretty sure "infinity" is a prequel. i kinda remember them killing jo @ the end of the series. i find it odd that sei and amy (and that chef kid) appear in the opening titles sequence, yet not anywhere in the OVA. could this mean that they are still planning on making two more?65.43.214.76 10:24, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Having just watched the OVA, I have a question. Is there going to be another series? There was this awesome preview/expose in the DVD that showed everyone a little older. It showed Meg looking all hot in the outfit on the cover of the OVA DVD and it showed the new base. Jo and Maria appeared in it as well. It leads me to believe that there will be another show, that would be great. Can anyone confirm it? 68.18.12.29 (talk) 16:36, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
I updated the main page to correctly list the OVA as a prequel. There is a teaser in the extras that shows things 5 years after the series but the actual episode on the OVA takes place after the flash back episode and before the events of the series. Argel1200 (talk) 08:32, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Fixed it up
editI just wikified and encyclopediazed a large portion of this article. It should now be decently readable. (The section on the Manga I might get around to fixing up later). And I think that the Japanese release has been delayed. I'll recheck the facts and if something turns up then i'll update the projected release dates.
Also, maybe a reassessment of this article is due? Nateland 19:54, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, about almost a year later, yes. Overdue in fact. Somebody really ought to mention that a good deal of Burst Angel is satire or parody. For example, Jo is a dead ringer for Rei Ayanami. Another example: Jo, in a giant mecha, climbs up Tokyo Tower to have a gun battle with a giant mechanical crow that kidnaps girls from the street. Remind you of anything? An American movie, maybe? Hint: Its initials are "KK."

- Only if you can priovde a reliable source. Otherwise it's OR. See WP:NOR. Argel1200 (talk) 22:37, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
I went and removed "The first trailer implied a Second Season in the near future as the entire team is depicted as slightly older; in addition, shots of Jo and Maria." "First trailer" is ambiguous and in the English release it is listed as a character design concept (or something like that), hinting the exact opposite -- that there has not been enough interest for another OVA or a second season. Granted, the OVA in Japan may have implied this, but the Region 1 release doesn't. I replaced it with: "The OVA also includes a short segment showing the characters five years in the future." Argel1200 (talk) 22:45, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Note the resemblence to the Bubblegum Crisis crew. Jo=Priss, the moody and violent gunlinger. Meg=Linna, the realistic counterwieght, Sei=Sylia, matronly group leader. Amy=Nene, bubbly tech geek. Kyohei=Mackie, pathetic boy. RAPT=Genome, ominous organization. Boomers=Various mutant humans, random zombie foes. In both series, the crews roll around in a large vehicle. A nearly exact copy of Rei Ayanami appears in episode 5.75.33.58.61 (talk) 19:27, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
.44 magnums?
editI thought Jo's gun's were Desert Eagles, why have they been replaced with .44 magnums here? Apparently, they were edited by: 173.54.46.245 (talk) at 20:16, 6 March 2010

- Desert Eagles come in two calibers: .50 and .44 magnum. Since "Desert Eagle" is a trademark, it is possible that the trademark holders removed this reference if GONZO did not have license to do a product placement of that particular brand.75.69.183.33 (talk) 03:53, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
What wannabe pastry chef?
edit"
The series follows Kyohei Tachibana, a culinary school student who dreams of becoming a pastry chef, and the band of mercenaries he works for.

From all the episodes i've watched on cable so far, that guy is hardly a main character, often not even showing up or even being mentioned at all. --TiagoTiago (talk) 01:08, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- He appears in all episodes but the retro ones like Ep 14.75.69.183.33 (talk) 03:54, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Character: Meg
editI'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to improve the article but I think that Meg's feeling for Jo should be included as romantic esp. due to ch. 6 (first chapter in volume 2) of "Angel's Adolescence" and her general body language throughout the series (she is after all the more articulate one). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.248.38.62 (talk) 11:18, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
Little Women Reference
editWhat is the significance of the fact that three of the main characters are named after three of the main characters from Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott? And then why is the fourth character named "Sei" instead of "Beth" like the fourth little woman? I think the article should at least mention this inspiration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.208.244.20 (talk) 13:36, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- Wow, nice find! Can someone look up Newtype USA April 2005 to confirm the "Little Women with Guns" remark by the director? http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14926 AngusWOOF (talk) 21:27, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- On a request, I've looked though the article "City of Angles" on pg 34 & 35. I saw no mention in the article to Little Women or its characters. But one reference I did see was this is a quote from Bevins (ADR director) in a bio caption of Jo. "She's like a female cross between Clint Eastwood and Wolverine. Monica [Rail] was the only actress who really nailed Jo's attitude believably." (Johnston, Chris (2005). "City of Angels". Newtype USA. 4 (4): 34–35.)
- There may be some other comments from Bevins that you may fine worthy of inserting into the article. —Farix (t | c) 17:32, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
