First Name
edit'Buster' hid his real christian name for all his life, although it is now widely believed to be in fact 'Marmaduke' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.147.44.26 (talk) 16:07, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
No, it was Harry, go on IMBD and type in Merryfield for the January, February and March 1921 quarter. http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl and his name is listed as Harry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.18.89 (talk) 23:06, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
- Go to IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0581467/bio - it says MARMADUKE.
- Go to IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0581467/bio - it says MARMADUKE.
Also, this FreeBMD lists your Harry Merryfield as born in March 1921 - clearly a different person.

The FreeBMD doesn't seem very complete, also it is Wiki-esque where people can add stuff themselves, hardly good for accuracy. Try searching for your own details. I couldn't find myself or any of my family in there.
- I just realised, when adding Marmaduke to the main article, that the person who added 'Harry' did so using the FREEBMD as a reference !!
When not only do they have different dates of birth, they also have different PLACES of birth - Wandsworth (Harry Merryfield) as opposed to Battersea (Buster Merryfield). I know people sometimes knock the IMDB, but at least it's entries have to be passed by an editor / legal team before being entered.
