Title
editI suggest that this article be renamed "C. E. Wynn-Williams" instead of "Charles Wynn-Williams" The subject of the article is my late father. He never used the name Charles, and followed a Welsh custom of using the middle name as his personal name. So my mother and all his relatives called him "Eryl" rather than "Charles". Like many academics of his generation, his and his scientific colleagues usually referred to each other by last name rather than any given name. But most importantly, all his scientific papers were written under the name "C. E. Wynn-Williams" which is why I suggest that this latter variation become the title for this article. I might add that my own full name is Charles Gareth Wynn-Williams. Like my father, I never use the name Charles. I am Gareth to my friends and C. G. Wynn-Williams in my scientific papers (I am Professor of Astronomy at the University of Hawaii. ) Ceres96 (talk) 08:58, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- Moved to the new title (with the old one as a redirect) as suggested. --TedColes (talk) 16:29, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Dates
editHis mother appears to have been born some four years after him. This is quite unusual.217.155.137.60 (talk) 11:14, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
