US Navy Boats

edit

I added the {{dubious}} tag to the statement that the US Navy has purchased 20 of these boats. There are plenty of citations for the fact that the Navy has at least one—or possibly two, by some sources—but I could find no evidence on the web that the Navy has ordered or purchased 20. This fact was added by an anonymous editor out of Sweden on September 23 last year. If a source can be found, please add the citation and remove the tag. For the one boat, see this. •••Life of Riley (TC) 02:46, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Russian CB90

edit

On several defence-interested bloggs like this one, a person presenting himself as the chairman of Dockstavarv claims the Project 03160 "Raptor" to be unlicensed and that there is no cooperation what so ever with JSC Pella, neither does the official website for http://www.dockstavarvet.se/ mention any contacts with Pella. Furthermre, Pella claims to have designed and constructed the ship themselves: http://www.pellaship.ru/en/the-launch-of-the-head-high-speed-patrol-boat-of-project-03160-raptor-designed-and-built-by-open-jsc-pella-by-the-order-of-rf-navy Still, the similarities are undeniable all the way to the camouflage pattern. A matter of "unauthorized transfer of intellectual property"? BP OMowe (talk) 06:29, 10 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Removed the claim Russia build CB90, especially since the only source for that actually states " Project boats RM-15 is designed in the UK. Plant "Pella" acquired documentation and built on its industrial base head boat, adapted to the requirements of the Russian Navy." BP OMowe (talk) 20:16, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
