Regional variants of CBSN
editThere are also regional variants of CBSN — CBSN New York (original), CBSN Los Angeles (2nd), and CBSN Boston (Sep. 24 2019 placeholder on Roku). Jimj wpg (talk) 21:28, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
Josh Elliot section
editDoes this really need its own section? Reading about it on the Josh Elliot page it doesnt seem that noteworthy plus the citation used does not say anything about him being fired. A newscaster was told by his producer she wanted him on the mainstream Cbs news and failed to inform her bosses. Whats controversial about that? BronzeCheetah44 (talk) 14:31, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

CBSN → CBS News (TV channel) – CBSN has officially renamed as the CBS News Streaming, or just as CBS News, per sources CBS News, LA Times, Newscast Studio. Alternatively, this article can be renamed to CBS News (streaming service) per BBC Three (streaming service). 36.65.32.129 (talk) 13:35, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- What about CBS News Streaming Network? Because that’s what the article calls it. In the CBS News article there’s a clear distinction as to when the CBS News division is being invoked rather than the streaming service. Although when it does finally acknowledge it’s a rebrand from CBSN it’s just "CBS News Streaming"--CreecregofLife (talk) 15:00, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- "CBS News Streaming Network" is not the actual name, the articles have to use that unofficial appendage to distinguish from "CBS News", which actually IS the brand. It's not an accident, the goal has been stated of blending in fully the over-the-top streaming network with the over-the-air counterpart. Nowhere is this more apparent than WWJ-TV, which is going to directly simulcast the streaming channel "CBS News Detroit", not the other way around.[1] Same with KTXA and "CBS News Dallas", and their related "local news innovation lab" tying the stations and network closer together.[2] Support a change to CBS News (streaming service) based on prior precedent. - Fair enough. Support CBS News (streaming service)--CreecregofLife (talk) 18:30, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Comment While I did throw my support how I did, now that we’ve got a clearer picture, I will still put chips down toward the formal CBS News Streaming Network or CBS News Streaming name should that be the final determination--CreecregofLife (talk) 12:55, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- Here here. Support CBS News (streaming service)--Cliffmore (talk) 00:52, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support renaming to CBS News (streaming service), but final determination should be based on how WP’s common name or official name guidelines apply, and if we can affirm what ViacomCBS formally refers the service as. If CBS News Streaming is the official name (and not solely as a d/b/a name for that unit), that should be looked as an option for the new article name. Though, I think "CBS News (streaming service)" may be what gets used as the article title. TVTonightOKC (talk) 08:16, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

- Support renaming as CBS News Streaming Network per WP:OFFICIALNAME stated by CBS and most sources. However, in order to comply with common name guidelines, CBS News (streaming service) would be second best choice and the official name can be created as a redirect to the former. I did not support it as CBS News (TV channel) due to now known as CBS News is not fully-fledged TV news channel. 116.206.35.20 (talk) 12:51, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- Agreed. Seconded and supporting in that order. Nathan Obral • he/him • t • c • 15:58, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support as CBS News (streaming service) as all previous arguments as CBSN has already rebranded a week ago and its time to move the page. In condition that WP:OFFICIALNAME preferred, CBS News Streaming Network is second option to move and is the preferred redirect to the new name if CBS News (streaming service) preferred over the official name. 180.242.3.33 (talk) 22:34, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
