I've looked at their website and I believe that CBS Paramount Television will just be the official company name and we will never see their logo on TV. They may just keep the Paramount logo. 71.111.215.224 00:24, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

CBS Paramount Television logo

This is "really" confusing! What logo theme "will" they use? The 1987 Paramount Television logo theme or the 1998 CBS Productions theme or it's own? And yes, the 1998 logo "does" have a logo theme. Remember Kids Say the Darndest Things? After the LMNO logo and the Art Linkletter logos, the 1998 CBS Productions logo appeared including a logo theme. I recorded those logos including the King World distribution logo. I'll also need to determine about those two logos which one will be CBS Paramount Network Television and CBS Paramount Domestic Television

Well, there already was a new jingle for CBS Paramount Television, and I'm sure it'll be used with two logos: one for syndicated shows, and the other for network shows.

Viacom Enterprises to Paramount Domestic Television

Guys, listen. From 1967-1995, there was no Paramount Domestic Television. It was just plain Paramount Television. In 1995, Viacom Enterprises was reincorporated as Paramount Domestic Television as the new television distribution arm. Paramount Television

Well, it was nice knowing Paramount Television (1967-2006). Paramount Television didn't have a first logo until 1968. Some shows said "Filmed at Paramount Television Studios, A Gulf + Western Company" and later "Filmed at Paramount Studios" in the 1967-1968 season. On Star-Trek, it said in the credits, "A Paramount Production". When was the "actual" Paramount Domestic Television launched?

Paramount Domestic Television was launched in the early 1970s by Paramount Pictures as Paramount Television Sales. In 1977, Paramount Television Sales was re-organized as Paramount Television Service until 1981, when it was renamed Paramount Television Domestic Syndication. Finally in 1987, the company was renamed Paramount Domestic Television. In 1994, when Viacom bought Paramount Communications, Viacom Enterprises was folded into Paramount Domestic Television. • Wrong Don-Don, how could Paramount Domestic Television be formed in 1987? There was no international television division in 1987. Everyone started going domestic and international in 1995 and 1996. In other words, Paramount International Television was launched in 1995 as well as Paramount Network Television and Paramount Domestic Television. Viacom Enterprises wasn't folded, it was renamed. It was better when Paramount Television and CBS Paramount Television were seperated. They're two seperated divisions. Just like Sony Pictures. CBS Studios/CBS Paramount Television

I think the article kind of contradicts itself -- it says that CBS Studios and CBS Paramount Television are one and the same (CBS Studios being the alternate moniker of CBS Paramount Television), yet it also says that CBS PT is a division of CBS Studios. CBS Studios, Inc. is the copyright name for all of the shows by Paramount Television, pre and post. They are the same thing whether it's network or domestic. King Shadeed 20:11, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Do not combine

Corporate structure

Filmation

CBS Paramount controls Star Trek: The Animated Series, The Brady Kids, and The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse outright because those shows are based off other shows owned outright by CBS. Entertainment Rights controls most of the rest of the Filmation library, while CBS Television Distribution handles TV rights. And don't forget those Filmation productions based off DC Comics, Gilligan's Island, Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry - those are controlled by Time Warner. FMAFan1990 (talk) 02:42, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I see. It's just that on ER's site, they have the "Worldwide TV Distribution" rights to some of the Filmation catalog they have. One example is The Archie Show. According to the page on their site, ER has the "Worldwide TV and Video" rights to the show, the former indicating that they have the TV distribution rights, which you say CBS/Paramount has in the U.S. I guess what I want to know is, how does CBS/Paramount fit into this (when The Archies was shown on the old Odyssey Channel for a time, I saw Hallmark Entertainment's logo rather than Paramount's)? Further, my understanding is that Group W sold the catalog to Hallmark Entertainment who later sold it to ER. That's why I put up the clarify tag. ER doesn't list any specific region for the TV distribution rights to The Archies, just "worldwide". Come to think of it, ER did license the video rights to Genius Products (for the U.S., anyway). US TV rights were initially with Group W, then Eyemark, and later King World Productions, before finally moving to CBSTD (which continues to have the US TV rights licensed from ER). The Archies is distributed by Genius on DVD due to being a Classic Media/Archie Comics property, Classic Media being a US subsidiary of ER. Paramount films

One user claimed my revert was outdated. However, I am certain that Paramount may have signed a new deal for CTD to distribute their films. I'm also certain the source referenced is not affiliated with CBS, and some info on the site is out of date. Indeed, there is one part of the site which has not been updated in 10 years. I was wondering the same thing myself. Last I checked, all television rights for films through the main studio are now under Paramount Pictures Worldwide Television Distribution, according to Viacom's corporate website, as well as B&C and TV Week respectively. The films will be licensed to Trifecta Entertainment & Media to be released later this year. Kresblain (talk) 16:05, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Paramount Television rebirth?

I was speaking with an archivist at Paramount last week, and he was telling me that CBS and Paramount had a reciprocal agreement that Paramount wouldn't produce their own TV shows, and CBS wouldn't produce their own films. Well apparently this agreement expired recently, leaving Paramount free to start television production again (other than the contract work they currently do for others such as Glee, American Horror Story, NCIS:LA etc.). A chat in a corridor isn't much of a notable source, so perhaps someone else can comment on this in the article? Stephend01 (talk) 12:59, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
