cIII protein

edit

The article has this link on the bottom right now:

"Positive regulation of integrative recombination by the cII and cIII genes of bacteriophase lambda"

So cIII gene is known. I have here information from a textbook that says that cIII protein stabilizes the cII product. If someone can confirm this, and then perhaps briefly add to this article about cII? I understand that cII is more important than cIII, but it would be useful to have wikipedia mention this information as well (such as is shown in the bottom link that I showed above, but it should be part of the wikipedia article IMO). 2A02:8388:1604:F600:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 02:40, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

PS: I just noticed that whoever wrote this, also added a typo: It should be "bacteriophage"

rather than "bacteriophase" - I copy/pasted the above ^^^ which is why that copy/paste contains that error too. That should be corrected too. Actually, I am going to do so myself since it is clearly a typo, thus I will change "bacteriophase" to "bacteriophage" there. I hope everyone agrees with that small change. 2A02:8388:1604:F600:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 02:41, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
