Tube of Justice

edit

Tube of Justice? What's that all about then if it's legendary? --Gavinio 16:00, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I can't find anything about this, and have never heard of it even though I used to work there! --82.152.170.60 21:55, 5 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Me too - that was my point - let me ask around... --Gavinio 11:40, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
23 October 2006: Still hardly any info, Google ( http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Tube+of+Justice%22+CIS )points to a blog that references it. Sounds like on this Stephen Riley, a CIS worker knows about it. If it really is infamous it should be explained a bit better or cited, otherwise removed.
"3:11am - While sinking deeper into sadness I looked up the CIS Tower entry on Wikipedia and by chance, someone has just removed the Tube of Justice reference this Saturday afternoon. For god's sake, I'm looking at the dam thing now!!! The tube of justice exists... who dares edit that from that page? Whoever it was is stupid enough to believe that there is a nuclear bunker under the tower anyway, unless they know something about -B6. *FURY* Time for another Pro Plus." ( http://www.steriley.com/152/serving_hard_time/ )
So what is it? and can you provide any references? If this is just an in-joke it has no place in Wikipedia imho Zanzare 00:18, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have removed the "tube of justice" as I can't find any references to it except for reprints of this page. It therefore fails the Notability test. Zanzare 12:47, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I tracked down the author of that blog entry on Twitter, and he confirmed it was an in-joke. The web developers used a Jaffa Cake tube to select the name of the guy who had to do the late shift when a big publish was needed. A post-it on the packet read "Tube of Justice". It's right that this was taken down. Almagpie (talk) 20:36, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Would you kindly replace the word clad? This isn't a fashion show it's a building and we have plenty of words in the English language that are more suitable. Also, I don't like the sentence involving the directos, it makes it sound as if they retrofitted the walls themselves... All in all the article is quite poorly written; it reads more like a mediocre essay than something you'd expect from an encyclopedia. You need education! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.190.20.35 (talk) 12:32, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've tidied this bit up. Perhaps you could create an account (it takes 30 seconds) and edit yourself in future if you feel so strongly about it. Also, save the personal attacks. This is a community effort, and nobody is getting paid. Thanks Almagpie (talk) 20:44, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Also "clad" and "cladding" are commonly used building terms, as well as clad being a poetic English word for "dressed". Almagpie (talk) 10:59, 13 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Currency Change

edit
  • Perhaps, since the building in question is in the USA, and not Great Britain, the currency should be changed to United States Dollars. I personally don't know how to do this, but maybe someone who does...?--EthanSoll 13:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Total power output

edit

Is it really only 20 kW output? It's been running for two years, but the only numbers I can find are "projected" "expected" or "forecast". How much does it actually produce?

If so, where did the "75 homes" number come from? Is that just because a home uses less energy than the per capita usage times the occupants? (Cars, industry, etc.) — Omegatron 03:17, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is there any good reason for having all very similat images in this article? I can't think of one.--J3Mrs (talk) 17:18, 1 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
