termed CKAN as an "open data portal"
editI created an article called open data portal then linked this CKAN article to it, making the claim that CKAN is a platform for presenting an open data portal. The tagline of ckan is "the open source data portal software".
There is nuance in all this and words are challenging to apply. "Open" and "portal" can mean many things, for example, including accessible to some but not others. In general, I think the most visible use of CKAN is in governmental and institutional open data portals. Blue Rasberry (talk) 15:37, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
