Article expansion
editI'd love to see this article expanded, but I'm not really sure what could be added to it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm more than happy to do it as long as I have an idea as to what to put in. Caissa's DeathAngel (talk) 14:40, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- Expand the explanation of both Scacchia ludus and Caïssa poems. Maybe even quote part of the Caïssa poem, might have to check copyright, but is something 200+ years old still copyright? Would be nice to find out. You'll find the text of Caïssa in old English here page forward (20 pages) to see the rest, also here and Scacchia ludus info here (click at bottom for translation) also here. - That's certainly a good place to start, I'll try hunting around to see if I can get some academic discussion of the work as well - I reckon some sourced thematic discussion could be worthwhile, if it exists. Maybe the modern use section could also be expanded - there's a real danger of that just devolving into a trivia list, but if sources can be found this may be avoidable. The other thing that this article needs is technical discussion, though as I'm uncertain as to whether this has happened significantly at academic level it might be hard. I'm also not in a position to write such a section as I'm not very knowledgable about poetry - does anyone consider themselves up to the task?Caissa's DeathAngel (talk) 01:19, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Could try asking about the poetry at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Poetry. SunCreator (talk) 01:29, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
