Fire
editHi, I've just started this article: Her Majesty's Fire Service Inspectorate for Scotland but I'm not entirely sure whether it should be linked to this article. I've re-read the article again and it looks like it might. Any help still appreciated. Regards. Escaper27 17:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Why the name change?
editCould someone please add an explanation as to why the job title was changed in 2007? 86.132.141.139 (talk) 01:31, 24 February 2008 (UTC) The title changed because the new SNP administration decided that it should. They are not fixed by legislation. Between 1999 and 2007, the general pattern had been for the senior ministers to be styled "Minister for X" and the junior ministers styled "Deputy Minister for X". The new administration decided that the senior ministers should be styled as "Cabinet Secretary for X" and the junior ministers simply as "Minister for X".--George Burgess (talk) 15:40, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
