Lowercase l
editAccording to the USGS GNIS page, the river's name is "Cache la Poudre". They list "Cache La Poudre" as a variant name. The maps I have all use a lowercase l. Just thought I'd be pedantic and point that out. Pfly 00:04, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Given Tillman's edit just now to lowercase "la" I thought I'd just move the article wholesale to "Cache la Poudre River". But when I tried I was told an article with that name already exists. But it doesn't as far as I can tell. I'm guessing that changing "L" to "l" is not enough for the software to consider it a different name. Out of time right now, but perhaps I'll look into it later. The same La/la issue probably comes up with Cache La Poudre Wilderness. Interestingly, North Fork Cache la Poudre River seems to have gotten it right. Pfly (talk) 20:27, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Found it. Can't move this page, "Cache La Poudre River" to "Cache la Poudre River" because the "la" page already exists--it is a redirect to the "La" page. You can do a move over a redirect page if it has only one entry in its edit history. But the "la" page has two: Cache la Poudre River history. So an admin would apparently be required to rename this page to "Cache la Poudre River". I'm not all that concerned, personally, but if someone wants to the procedure is explained at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Pfly (talk) 22:43, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not "concerned" but we should still move it at some point. — LlywelynII 02:20, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

Glade Reservoir/NISP
editThe Glade Reservoir/NISP section needs some work, I tried to get the ball rolling, but it could use some additional work including links to the latest news on the project. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oneliketadow (talk • contribs) 05:50, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- There's WAY too much detail here for an encyclopedia article. Needs a BRIEF summary, and perhaps a separate page for the dispute. --Pete Tillman (talk) 18:39, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Not only too much, but too blatantly arguing a POV. I left the intro because it stuck mostly to the basic facts. - Jason A. Quest (talk) 18:20, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Pronounciation
editThe name of the river is French. I don't understand why the pronunciation shown here is so American, not to say ignorant. --FantinoFalco (talk) 06:40, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
