Some facts please?
editVery disappointed to come here looking for information on the Caesar Rodney institute (CRI) and find but a single sentence.
I was interested because an 8/8/2023 article in the Washington Post ("The future of East Coast wind power could ride on this Jersey beach town") mentions CRI as being (quietly) behind opposition to an offshore wind power project. The same article mentions that CRI "...have ties to fossil fuel interests".
So here's a link to an article at SourceWatch for someone to begin a more informative article. As a rank amateur, and suspecting push-back from the CRI, I don't feel qualified to compose it. For example, I don't know if sourcewatch is a "trusted source" of information. Sourcewatch, and I think the WaPo article, say CRI doesn't list their donors, but Sourcewatch says it managed to find a few. Their list includes the American Energy Alliance ($15M), American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers ($20M), and Donors Trust($463,000). Donors Trust is an interesting organization in this context.
I see a contrast between what the CRI page says about its purpose, and the likely purpose of the organizations known to fund them. This CRI article deserves more than a single not-very-informative sentence. Captain Puget (talk) 17:31, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
